It is a series of requests to which the learner/client is most likely to show responses.
The teacher/professional makes requests with a high probability of response before making a request with a low probability of response.
A request with a (low) response probability is one to which the learner/customer frequently or never responds.
High-probability requests can be used to proactively reduce the likelihood of problem behavior occurring.
This strategy can be implemented to address a range of attitudes and behaviors, such as:
- Completion of the academic assignment
- Initiate appropriate social interaction
- Guidance to adhere to instructions
- Behavioral problem during transitions
